Job summary

CoolIT Systems Inc. in Calgary, Alberta, is seeking a detail-oriented Electrical Assembler to join our team. You will assemble, test, and inspect electrical panels and wiring harnesses according to engineering drawings and specifications.

This contract position offers two shifts (Day and Evening). Ideal candidates have a high school diploma and 2+ years in electrical component and wiring assembly, with IPC‑A‑610 soldering certification a plus.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma required.
  • 2+ years of electrical component and wiring assembly experience.
  • Ability to interpret engineered drawings, standard work procedures and work instructions.
  • Physical ability to lift up to 20 kg occasionally and operate handling equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble electrical panels and wiring harnesses per drawings and specs.
  • Perform soldering, crimping and wire routing for secure connections.
  • Conduct visual inspections and electrical tests on assembled products.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area and follow SOPs.
  • Collaborate with engineering and quality control to address issues.
  • Participate in continuous improvement to enhance productivity and quality.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

We are seeking a detail-oriented and skilled Electrical Assembler to join our team, specializing in the assembly of electrical panels and wiring harnesses. The successful candidate will be responsible for assembling, testing, and inspecting electrical components to ensure they meet our high standards of quality and performance.

Role:
This is a contract position.
Two shifts are available: Day and Evening Shift
Responsibilities:
  • Assembly of electrical panels and wiring harnesses according to engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Perform soldering, crimping, and wire routing to ensure secure and reliable electrical connections.
  • Conduct visual inspections and electrical tests to verify the integrity and functionality of assembled products.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
  • Collaborate with engineering and quality control teams to address any issues or discrepancies in the assembly process.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and product quality.
  • Follow all standard operating procedures and work instructions accurately.
WHO YOU ARE:
Basic Qualifications:
  • Minimum High School Diploma required.
  • 2+ years of Electrical component and wiring assembly required.
  • Proven experience in electrical assembly, specifically in building electrical panels and wiring harnesses.
  • Ability to Interpret engineered drawings, Standard work procedures and work Instructions.
  • Requires physical mobility and strength to exert up to 20 kg (44 lbs) of lifting force occasionally, up to 10 kg of force lifting frequently, and negligible force to operate material handling equipment.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • IPC-A-610 soldering certification is an asset.
Skills:
  • Skilled in soldering, crimping, and using hand and power tools for electrical assembly.
  • Basic math and measurement skills (i.e. fractions and decimals; imperial and metric) are required.
