Job Description

Badger Daylighting is currently recruiting for an Electrician at our Red Deer Manufacturing plant. The Electrician will work with team members on the assembly and installation of AC and DC control systems and will be expected to play a key role in on-site activities.

RESPONSIBILITIES

What You'll Be Doing

  1. Work from schematics and job instructions
  2. Construct Electrical Control Panels and Electrical Harnesses
  3. Pre-assemble and finish wiring of control systems
  4. Install electrical control circuits for motors and control devices for various electrical devices
  5. Ensure accuracy and completion of assigned tasks and projects
  6. Test completed equipment for proper performance
  7. Use specific wire cutting/stripping/crimping equipment
  8. Adapt to changing tasks due to continuous improvements and updates
  9. Clean, lubricate, and perform maintenance work
  10. Perform other assigned work as required

Qualifications

What You'll Need For Success:

  1. A strong background in Automotive 12V systems is preferred
  2. Follow Badger best practices with a focus on Best Operator, Best Truck
  3. Ensure compliance with Badger's safety and high service standards
  4. High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
  5. 5 years’ experience with automotive electrical preferred
  6. LEAN manufacturing experience is an asset
  7. Ability to work independently in a busy environment
  8. Experience with routine maintenance operations
  9. Highly flexible, with solid interpersonal skills for a diverse working environment
  10. Effective verbal and written communication skills
  11. Ability to work well under pressure
  12. Strong attention to detail
  13. Ability to interact sensitively, tactfully, diplomatically, and professionally at all times
  14. Computer literate
  15. Must be eligible to work in Canada

Will be required to successfully complete pre-employment screening, including a criminal background check, credit check, driver’s abstract review, and drug and alcohol test.
