Position: Electromechanical Assembler

Description

We’re on the hunt for an Electromechanical Assembler on our Satellite systems team at our Montreal office.

Role:

Perform assembly of electromechanical products.

Level of responsibility: Structured work processes. Some analysis is required before independently selecting from known processes.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare components.
• Proceed with tinning of components.
• Manually assemble through-hole (TH) and surface-mount technology (SMT) components on printed circuit boards.
• Operate and adjust automated inspection and assembly equipment.
• Prepare, handle, and use polymeric products for component bonding.
• Install cables.
• Mechanically integrate modules, flex, and printed circuit boards.
• Inspect, check, and validate compliance of tasks performed by colleagues.
• Support Research and Development.
• Perform other related tasks as needed.

Required Qualifications:

• College diploma or secondary school vocational diploma in electromechanical, mechanical, aeronautical, or related fields.
• 2 to 5 years of relevant experience.
• Basic knowledge of tolerances and geometrical dimensions.
• Knowledge of standards IPC-A-610.
• Ability to recover and enter data using a computer system.
• Use of production databases.
• Good knowledge of French; basic knowledge of English is an asset.
