Position Summary:

Reporting to the Service Manager, the Electrical Apprentice Technician (1st year) performs general electrical duties on project or service sites, including repairs and equipment commissioning. The role offers competitive compensation, benefits, and opportunities for career advancement.

What You Will Be Doing:

  • Perform electrical, electronic, and mechanical repairs, both on-site and in-house, complying with all regulations.
  • Manage customer relations by efficiently handling calls and planning for necessary tools and equipment.
  • Complete documentation accurately and timely.
  • Develop technical knowledge through on-the-job training and programs.
  • Follow safety policies and procedures.
  • Understand and comply with health, safety, and environmental policies.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma.
  • Registered with Alberta AIT as an Indentured Electrical Apprentice and enrolled in the apprenticeship program.
  • Certified in CPCA PM-Training.
  • Basic knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and troubleshooting skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Good organization, teamwork, and customer service skills.
  • Mathematical and mechanical aptitude, physical strength, and ability to work at heights.
  • Ability to read drawings and electrical codes.
  • Valid Class 5 driver’s license and willingness to work away overnight and on-call hours.
  • Pass a drug and alcohol screening.
