Job summary

Lincoln Electric in Hamilton, Ontario is seeking an experienced assembler/electrician to support the production team. You will assemble and wire electrical panels, route wiring harnesses, and wire transfer/conveyor systems under supervision or in teams.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent and 442A apprenticeship status; welding, forklift, and crane experience are assets. This is a full-time, on-site position with equal opportunity employment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must have 442A industrial electrician apprentice.
• Must be able to read a tape measure.
• Welding experience is a key asset.
• Forklift and crane experience an asset.

Responsibilities

• Report directly to the Production Supervisor regarding all electrical/mechanical assembly.
• Assemble and wire small to large electrical panels.
• Route wiring harnesses through structures and sub-assemblies.
• Electrically wire transfer and conveyor systems.
• Mechanically assemble large assemblies and conveyor systems.
• Mechanical assembly of smaller sub-components.
• Ensure assemblies meet customer requirements and specifications.
• Work independently and in team environments to achieve tasks.
• Follow all safety regulations and codes, with or without supervision.
• Perform additional tasks as assigned by supervisor.

Job Requirements

• Must have 442A industrial electrician apprentice
• Must be able to lift on a regular basis up to 40lbsPossess problem solving skills, communication skills
• Ability to use power hand tools for aid in assembly
• Ability to read a tape measure
• Able to understand and interpret the specifications and procedures related to this job
• Welding experience is a key asset
• Forklift and crane experience an asset
