Tetra Tech is adding an EI&C Designer/Drafter to our Electrical, Instrumentation & Control team based in Calgary, AB.

Your Role:
- Prepare both rough sketches and detailed drawings using AutoCAD or MicroStation.
- Perform design calculations, create material lists, and develop construction details and diagrams in collaboration with the engineering team.
- Develop and maintain standardized drawings and symbols for the company database.
- Design and draft PLC panels, JB drawings, Loop diagrams, Control architecture drawings, Building layouts, and more.
- Review third-party drawings such as civil, architectural, landscape, and utilities for conflicts and integration issues.
- 3D modeling for lighting, panels, and cable trays would be an asset.
- Ensure final designs meet client and company quality standards.
- Adhere to internal procedures, legislation, and industry standards.
- Engage in ongoing professional development and maintain high discipline and knowledge standards.
- Work safely, report health and safety incidents, and uphold safety protocols.
- Additional duties as required.
Qualifications:
- Diploma or Certificate in Electrical Engineering Technology or related field (asset).
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
- Experience in an engineering consulting firm (considered an asset).
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and/or MicroStation.
- Experience with 3D design software (asset).
- Knowledge of Canadian Safety Code standards.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite.
- Ability to work collaboratively and meet deadlines.
- Effective problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
