Job summary

Johnson Controls in Alberta is seeking a dedicated Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) professional to uphold our zero-accident goal on the plant floor. You will lead hazard identification, develop safe work procedures, deliver training, and provide day-to-day guidance to supervisors and staff to maintain safe operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or OHS certificate, or equivalent.
• Ability to build lasting relationships and communicate effectively.
• Experience with accident investigation and workplace inspections.
• Knowledge of current safety legislation and codes.
• Capable of data-driven reporting and hazard analysis.

Responsibilities

• Lead EHS culture on the plant floor and train staff on safe procedures.
• Develop and implement safe work practices based on audits.
• Identify hazards and deliver safety training supplements.
• Investigate accidents with operations and respond with corrective actions.
• Ensure compliance with Alberta OHSA and company policies.
• Maintain EHS procedures and measure program effectiveness.
• Participate in on-call rotation for nights/weekends.
