Job summary

Minth Group in Windsor, Ontario seeks an EHS Specialist to develop and implement environmental, health, and safety programs that meet Canadian regulations and industry best practices, and to support sustainable operations.

You will conduct risk assessments, lead incident investigations, and train staff; monitor emissions and waste, and report to management to foster a safety-first culture across the manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health and Safety, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in an EHS role within manufacturing or a similar industrial environment.
  • Strong knowledge of Canadian federal and provincial EHS regulations and standards.
  • Certification such as CRSP (Canadian Registered Safety Professional) or NEBOSH is required.
  • Proven ability to conduct risk assessments, incident investigations, and develop effective safety programs.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and maintain EHS policies and procedures in accordance with federal and provincial regulations.
  • Conduct regular workplace inspections and risk assessments to identify hazards and ensure compliance with safety standards.
  • Lead incident investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective action plans to prevent recurrence.
  • Coordinate employee training programs on safety protocols, emergency response, and environmental stewardship.
  • Monitor environmental emissions and waste management practices to ensure regulatory compliance and sustainability goals.
  • Collaborate with management and employees to promote a culture of safety and continuous improvement.
  • Prepare and submit required regulatory reports and maintain accurate EHS documentation.
  • Stay current with changes in legislation and industry trends to update policies and practices accordingly.

Salary Range: $65,000.00 To $80,000.00 Annually

About the Role:

The EHS Specialist plays a critical role in ensuring a safe, healthy, and environmentally responsible workplace within the durable goods manufacturing sector. This position is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining comprehensive environmental, health, and safety programs that comply with Canadian regulations and industry best practices. The specialist will work closely with cross‑functional teams to identify potential hazards, conduct risk assessments, and promote a culture of safety throughout the organization. By monitoring compliance and investigating incidents, the EHS Specialist helps to minimize workplace risks and environmental impact, ultimately supporting sustainable business operations. This role requires a proactive approach to continuous improvement and effective communication to engage employees at all levels in EHS initiatives.

Minimum Qualifications:
