Job summary

Wajax seeks a Manager, EHS Programs to lead design, governance, and continuous improvement of enterprise-wide Environment, Health and Safety programs in a Canadian context. This role strengthens program architecture, training systems and knowledge management across safety initiatives, audits, and data-driven decision making.

The successful candidate will advance EHS technology, dashboards, and critical controls, coordinating with operations, HR, sustainability, and field teams to drive safer,

Qualifications

  • Post-secondary education in occupational health and safety or related discipline.
  • 7–10 years of progressive experience in EHS program management, safety systems, training development, or operational safety leadership.
  • Experience in industrial, equipment, field service, construction, or multi-branch environments.
  • Strong knowledge of EHS management systems, regulatory compliance, and contractor safety.

Responsibilities

  • Design, maintain, and improve enterprise EHS programs, standards, procedures, tools, forms, and documentation.
  • Establish governance for program ownership, document control, knowledge management, and audit protocols.
  • Develop role-based training, competency frameworks, and practical implementation tools.
  • Advance EHS technology, dashboards, automation, analytics, and mobile tools.
  • Maintain high-risk work programs aligned with SIF prevention and field needs.
  • Coordinate audit scheduling, corrective actions, and enterprise trend reporting.
  • Support project safety, customer site requirements, and contractor management.
