Position: EHS Program Manager

Location: Surrey BC or Calgary AB

Join our Canadian Operations as an EHS Program Manager who has attention to detail, strong communication and problem-solving skills, demonstrates leadership, and can influence safety practices.

Responsibilities
  • Program Development & Implementation: Develop and implement EHS policies, programs and procedures to ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of EHS programs and make adjustments to improve performance.
  • Lead the development, execution and continual use of safety training programs and initiatives.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant environmental health and safety regulations; stay updated on changes in legislation and align programs with current standards; prepare and submit required regulatory reports and documentation.
  • Training & Education: Oversee EHS training programs for employees at all levels; promote a culture of safety awareness and continuous improvement.
  • Emergency Response & Preparedness: Develop and maintain emergency response plans and procedures; coordinate emergency drills and ensure preparedness for EHS incidents.
  • Sustainability Initiatives: Promote and implement sustainability initiatives including waste reduction, energy efficiency and pollution prevention; work with leadership to achieve sustainability goals.
  • Reporting & Documentation: Provide regular reports to EHS Director on the status of EHS programs and key performance indicators.
  • Security Initiatives: Promote and implement security initiatives.
Qualifications
  • Education: Certificate in OH&S
  • Experience: Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in EHS with a proven track record of developing and implementing successful EHS programs.
  • Certifications: CRSP, NCSO, CSO.
  • Skills: Strong knowledge of EHS regulations and compliance requirements; excellent communication, leadership and organizational skills; proficiency in EHS management software and reporting tools; strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively under pressure.
