EHS Lead in Laval, QC (Montreal), Job 1788
Are you seeking an opportunity to advance your EHS career?

We are seeking a full-time EHS Lead to join our manufacturing client's team in Laval, QC. This on-site role offers the chance to lead and manage EHS programs, ensuring compliance and driving continuous improvement. Relocation assistance within Canada is available.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee EHS strategy, programs, and staff.
  • Develop and implement OHS policies and procedures.
  • Drive continuous improvement in safety and productivity.

Minimum requirements for the position are:

  • Ability to commute, or relocate, to Laval, QC on a daily basis.
  • Must be a Canadian Registered Person.
  • Bachelor's or Collegial Degree in EHS, Chemical Engineering, Industrial Management, or a related discipline.
  • Two (2) or more years of EHS management experience in manufacturing.

Specific responsibilities of the position include:

  • Partner with site leadership and serve as SME regarding interpretation and application of federal, state and local EHS regulations.
  • Align corporate and local EHS goals and strategies.
  • Lead employee training programs regarding EHS behaviors and compliance.
  • Lead EHS audits and inspections developing remediation plans as needed.
  • Lead multi-media environmental compliance.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with federal, provincial and local regulators.
  • Lead Continuous Improvement initiatives regarding EHS policies and programs.
  • Maintain and ensure compliance with all relevant federal, provincial and local EHS regulations.
