Job description

We are looking for an Environmental Health & Safety Coordinator with a passion for positive business impact. This is a great chance to join a Top Employer and contribute to our growth and success!

Reporting to the Alexandria Plant Manager, the EHS Coordinator is working on site and is the front-line point of contact for occupational risk management and environmental protection & conservation.

  • Perform inspections to ensure Environmental & Health and Safety systems and processes are maintained and comply with regulatory legislative requirements and Saint-Gobain standards.
  • Collaborate with operations and production personnel to proactively address and control health and safety risks, including environmental impacts.
  • Support risk assessments and act as safety point-of-contact during standard operations, shutdowns, installations, and non-routine activities.
  • Ensure all compliance training requirements are up-to-date and completed timely, including Confined Space Entry, Fall Control, Lift Truck Operation, Lockout-Tagout, First Aid, and CPR.
  • Conduct workplace EHS investigations and report accidents/injuries promptly.
  • Manage WCB claims, accommodations, and return-to-work plans according to legislative requirements.
  • Maintain all EHS documentation and records using digital solutions.

Is this job for you?
