Qualifications

• 1-2 years related EH&S experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Knowledge of ISO 9001 and ISO/TS/IATF16949 certification systems an asset.
• Able to work Afternoons and Evening shift.

Position: Environmental Health & Safety Assistant

Location: Brantford, ON

Salary: $50,000 - $60,000 per year (depending on experience and qualifications)

Industry: Manufacturing / EH&S / Health and Safety / Industrial

Employment Term: Fulltime / Permanent

Shift: Afternoons (Monday to Friday, 2:00 PM – 11:00 PM)

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Plan, direct, and coordinate the organization’s activities to ensure compliance to company’s EH&S standards.
• Help to prevent and eliminate injury and illness to employees
• Review, monitor and advise Company’s Health & Safety management systems.
• Conduct daily EH&S audits.
• Other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Post-secondary education in Health & Safety or a related field.
• 1 – 2 years related EH&S experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Knowledge of ISO 9001 and ISO/TS/IATF16949 certification systems an asset.
• Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office.
• Able to work Afternoons and Evening shift.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
