We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented EH&S Advisor to join our team supporting Drilling and Production activities. This role plays a key part in maintaining and improving health, safety, and environmental standards across offshore and onshore operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring compliance with industry standards, coordinating safety processes, and providing essential support to our Drilling and Production teams. Responsibilities
Maintain and update EH&S processes and procedures for all Drilling and Production activities, ensuring alignment with industry standards and regulations.
Regularly update and manage the health and safety component of the management system documents for the Drilling/Production teams.
Participate in the contract preparation and evaluation process, ensuring EH&S requirements are met at all stages.
Oversee the onshore administration of event reporting management processes, including the collection and analysis of statistics and key performance indicators (KPIs).
Lead and assist with incident and accident investigations, ensuring thorough root cause analysis and corrective actions are implemented.
Assist with the coordination of the Enablon incident management system, supporting Drilling/Production teams in ensuring compliance with corrective actions.
Liaise with C-NLOPB (Canada-Newfoundland and Labrador Offshore Petroleum Board) for safety audits and inspections to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
Participate in and lead inspections and audits of the MODU (Mobile Offshore Drilling Unit), marine support vessels, and contractor facilities to ensure compliance with EH&S standards.
Conduct monthly Contractor/Operator meetings to address EH&S issues, ensuring timely resolution and continuous improvement.
Network with other EH&S resources across the organization to transfer knowledge and best practices to the Drilling/Production teams.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health and Safety, or a related field.
5+ years of experience in EH&S roles within offshore drilling/production or related industries.
Strong understanding of EH&S regulations, particularly in the offshore drilling sector.
Proven experience with incident management systems (e.g., Enablon) and conducting incident/accident investigations.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with contractors, operators, and regulatory agencies.
Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Knowledge of C-NLOPB regulations and safety standards is highly desirable.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team, supporting continuous safety improvement.
