Role :

We are seeking a motivated and talented EGSE and Test Engineer at our Sainte-Anne-de-Bellevue office.

The candidate will participate in the development of test equipment and support testing of satellite electronic units.

Tasks :

1. Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams for the development test equipment used for testing satellite electronic units;
2. Support testing of satellite electronic units;
3. Be part of an engineering team specializing in test equipment, otherwise called electrical ground support equipment (EGSE);
4. Design and support manufacturing of electrical test equipment and cable harnesses;
5. Produce design documentation such as electrical diagrams, assembly drawings, bill of materials, etc.;
6. Assist engineering in analyses and writing of test procedures;
7. Support procurement, manufacturing and validation of test equipment.

Experience and skills required :

1. BSc or equivalent in Electrical Engineering;
2. 5+ years of experience;
3. Hands-on experience in electronic design;
4. Skills in printed circuit board (PCB) design;
5. Ability to work autonomously and in a collaborative team, strong teamwork and interpersonal skills;
6. Interest for laboratory work.

Assets :

1. Diptrace or equivalent PCB CAD tool;
2. Knowledge of stepper motors and drives;
3. Knowledge of Python or VBA;
4. Knowledge of microcomputers (Raspberry Pi / Arduino);
5. Knowledge of PSoC programming;
6. Microsoft Office Suite and Visio.

Comments/Special Considerations :

Successful candidates must obtain and hold security clearance at the reliability status level, and pass security assessment for the Controlled Goods Program (CGP) and ITAR.
