Concordia University of Edmonton’s Faculty of Management comprises the Mihalcheon School of Management and the Department of Information Systems Security and Assurance, offering a range of undergraduate degrees, graduate degrees, and diplomas. Reporting to the Provost and Vice-President Academic, the Dean of Management will promote high standards of instruction, research, and community service within a collaborative environment, growing the diversity of our faculty, staff, and students.

The Person

Education & Experience

The ideal candidate will have the following requirements:

  • A PhD in a related discipline, with a strong record of success as a teacher and researcher, qualifying for an academic appointment at the rank of Associate or Full Professor;
  • Understanding of program development, review, and renewal;
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills;
  • A critical thinker capable of thriving in a collaborative, diverse environment;
  • Effective strategic planning and organizational skills;
  • Excellent listening, oral, and written communication skills;
  • A proven ability to build relationships with internal and external partners, including developing opportunities for funding and support;
  • An engaged leader who seeks out opportunities, develops new initiatives, and implements them effectively;
  • Knowledge of Concordia University of Edmonton’s culture, opportunities, and stakeholders would be an asset.
