Job description

Build the Future of ECHO

ECHO has transformed how we manage system health, risk, and preventive maintenance, setting us up for future innovation.

We’re looking for a Full Stack Developer to help build the future of ECHO. In this role, you’ll play a critical role in shaping a platform that’s redefining how equipment health is monitored, reported, and acted on. The features you build will directly reduce manual effort for engineers, increase visibility into real-time system health, and help teams mitigate risk before issues escalate.

You’ll develop intuitive front-end experiences and scalable back-end infrastructure, all designed to support the people who keep nuclear facilities safe and reliable. You’ll collaborate with engineers, analysts, and product designers to bring ideas to life, improve adoption across teams, and continuously evolve a platform that’s becoming essential infrastructure for our clients.

This is a role for someone who wants their code to matter; who wants to contribute to meaningful systems that improve safety, performance, and decision-making in one of the most important industries on the planet – nuclear energy.

Salary Range: $110-140k (Exact compensation may vary).

Here’s How You’ll Make an Impact
  1. Design and develop full-stack features that reduce manual reporting effort, surface real-time system health trends, and streamline preventive maintenance for nuclear engineers.
  2. Collaborate with cross-functional teams of engineers, analysts, and product designers to co-create solutions that address workflow pain points identified by our client.
  3. Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code that powers critical insights and supports seamless integration with systems like Maximo.
  4. Develop intuitive front-end and back-end features with strong QA to boost daily use and trust in ECHO as a go-to operational tool.
  5. Contribute to all stages within the product lifecycle.
  6. Support junior developers and foster a collaborative team culture rooted in shared learning and high standards.
  7. Participate in hackathons, sprint cycles, and product workshops that push ECHO forward and introduce smarter ways of working for our clients.
  8. Play a key role in shifting how system health, risk, and corrective actions are tracked and managed in the nuclear sector.
These Will Help You Succeed
  1. 4–7 years of hands-on experience in full stack software development.
  2. Proficiency in JavaScript (both front & back-end frameworks), NodeJS, NextJS, React, and SQL.
  3. Experience building fast, visually appealing consumer-facing, scalable web apps.
  4. Strong skills in API development, systems integration, and database technologies (e.g., PostgreSQL).
  5. Experience with deploying CI/CD pipelines, testing frameworks, and automated testing, while delivering in agile product teams.
  6. A growth mindset and genuine curiosity for how your work can shape tools used in critical, high-impact industries.
  7. Comfortable with frequent site visits (up to 1–2 times per week) in Bruce County and Durham Region, depending on project needs.
  8. Must be legally eligible to work in Canada.
Bonus points if you also have:
  1. Familiarity with Microsoft tools (especially Power BI) and understand how they support engineering teams.
  2. Knowledge of how to work with OpenAI integrations.
  3. Experience working with Maximo and ACE.
Is NPX right for you?
  1. Do you have an intellectual curiosity that causes you to explore, experiment and build?
  2. Do you like working with cutting edge technology to find solutions or opportunities that push up the innovation curve?
  3. Do you enjoy working in an open-concept start-up environment where collaboration, diversity, and knowledge sharing are key values?
  4. Are you seriously passionate about giving back and supporting your community?
