Position: Floor Supervisor

Job Duties/Responsibilities:

1. 37.5 hours per week (7 days a week operation)
2. Sorting newspapers/parcels for delivery
3. Working with a team to unload and load trucks/trailers
4. Managing direct reports
5. Coaching and performance management
6. Reading manifest and ensuring correct product delivery to Couriers
7. Cleaning and other duties as required
8. Ensuring dock health and safety; acting as Warehouse H&S Lead
9. Covering for the Operations Supervisor as needed
10. Operating forklift and pallet jack safely when required
11. Organizing loading and unloading
12. Assisting with scanning and sorting packages
13. Setting up the floor plan daily for the next day’s sort
14. Performing all other duties as required

Job Requirements:

1. Experience in a warehouse environment, with knowledge of logistics, trucking, and loading requirements is an asset
2. Forklift certification and experience
3. At least 1 year of supervisory experience preferred
4. Ability to work under deadlines, with a focus on safety and quality control
5. Resourceful and adaptable to change; able to work well under pressure
6. Strong time management skills
7. Reliable transportation
8. Ability to work up to 12-hour shifts
9. Proficiency in spoken and written English
10. Effective communication skills in noisy environments
11. Ability to lift/push/pull up to 50 lbs
12. Responsible use of PPE at all times
