About the Opportunity

Reporting to the Health Services Manager and working under supervision of regulated health professionals, the Care Team Assistant provides direct, hands-on care tailored to patient needs and the program/unit. As part of the collaborative care team, responsibilities include supporting activities of daily living, reinforcing patient and family teaching, and following the plan of care.

About You

We are looking for candidates who have:

  • Continuing Care Assistant Program
  • Provincial Certification with the Department of Health and Wellness (must submit certification and be registered/active with the CCA Registry; see link for details)
  • Current Basic Life Support Certification
  • Effective listening and communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Competencies in other languages, especially French, are an asset

If no applicants have provincial certification, consideration may be given to candidates eligible to write the CCA knowledge exam and obtain certification within one year of hire.

Hours
  • Permanent Full-Time, 75 hours bi-weekly
Compensation and Benefits

Hourly rate: $24.91 - $27.68
