Technology is changing the way businesses are operating. New technologies provide businesses with the potential to deliver new services, operate in new markets and to change the way they operate. Associated with these opportunities come risks and our clients seek independent advice and assurance over diverse issues, which include: the design and operation of their internal controls, the security of their business-critical systems, the delivery of major IT enabled programmes, their relationships with third parties, and their management, stewardship and ability to exploit business critical data.

EY is seeking a Senior Consultant to join our Digital Risk team, which is part of our Risk Consulting service line. As a Senior, you will contribute to the engagement team in helping our clients make better decisions and work on their most important challenges relating to security, risks, and controls, including IT Risk Management and IT Governance.

The successful candidate can expect to work with cross-functional teams internally and client personnel to analyze, evaluate, and enhance information systems facilitating the business internal control process. • Support the delivery of ERP project implementations across technologies (including SAP, Oracle, etc.) with a focus on cloud adoption and emerging technology risk.
  • Identify key risks and controls, ensure controls optimization, and enable configuration of controls around security, business processes, and within the ERP solution.
  • Oversee full cycle project risk management tasks related to project delivery.
  • Work effectively as a team member, sharing responsibility, providing support, maintaining communication, and updating senior team members on progress.
  • Share technical knowledge with team members and mentor junior staff.

Skills and attributes for success:

  • 3-5 years of experience in ERP Security, IT governance, risk assessment, cloud adoption risk, emerging technology risk, and implementation.
  • Bachelor’s Degree (or higher) in Business Administration, Commerce, Computer Science, MIS, or related field.
  • Relevant accounting/audit designation(s) (e.g., CPA, CIA, CISA) or working towards one.
  • Knowledge of COBIT, ITIL, or other IT frameworks is an asset.
  • Experience with platforms such as SAP, Oracle, Windows, etc., is an asset.
  • Proficiency in SharePoint and MS Office Suite.
  • Strong understanding of risk/control concepts, IT frameworks, and GRC solutions.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team.
