We are looking for a Business Systems Analyst / Microsoft Trainer for a long-term position starting with a 6-month contract, in Calgary, Alberta. Must be legally entitled to work in Canada.
8 hours a day, 40 hours a week. It is NOT a remote role.
Role Description
Our client is searching for a Business Systems Analyst / Microsoft Trainer with strong experience in Information Management, preferably in Oil and Gas. Solid business analysis skills and a technical background in the Microsoft collaboration suite of tools are required for this role.
Key Responsibilities
- Support and train users in Microsoft collaboration suite, including Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, and Office apps.
- Work with teams across the organization to provide Information Management best practices and help enforce IM policies.
- Stay up to date on the Microsoft collaboration ecosystem.
- Lead/support systems implementation, including requirements gathering, process mapping, and test coordination.
- Support, coordinate, and manage ongoing upgrades, maintenance, and issue resolution.
- Manage testing cycles for system upgrades, including working with business users and vendors to ensure upgrades/changes are successful and have minimal impact on users.
- Develop effective relationships with business stakeholders and system vendors.
- Perform change management processes to ensure adequate control of systems and information.
Required Skills and Experience
- Great experience with SharePoint, Teams, and OneDrive, including administration, user training, support, and troubleshooting.
- Strong understanding and practical experience with Information Management concepts.
- Minimum of 2 years of related experience in Oil & Gas, preferably in E&P.
- Strong core Business Analysis skills.
- Ability to work in a very dynamic environment and adapt to rapid changes.
- Able to handle competing requests and prioritize work accordingly.
- Self-starter who takes initiative in completing necessary tasks.
- Able to work in a team environment as well as independently.
