The Opportunity We are currently recruiting a Full-time instructor to teach legal courses, more specifically Business Law, Employment Law, Privacy and Security Law.
    The Role
    • Present courses, lesson plans, lectures, assignments, evaluations, examinations and learning activities
    • Evaluate student progress and facilitate student achievement
    • Show personal interest in the learners
    • Create a climate conducive to optimal learning
    • Coordinate classroom delivery and assessments with faculty colleagues
    • Include additional study materials for learners
    • Provide ongoing support, guidance and advice to learners and potential learners
    • Contribute in a positive way to maintain a team environment
    • Maintain and develop contacts in appropriate industry sectors
    • Maintain and develop relationships with academic colleagues
    • Promote and support SAIT’s and the School of Business mission statement and academic plans
    Qualifications
    • Depth of knowledge with Canadian and Alberta legal provisions for Business, Employment, Privacy, Data Security, and Human Rights.
    • Previous experience with Canadian and Alberta legal systems.
    • An understanding of the legal processes for digital information security.
    • Demonstrated excellence in communication skills, well-developed interpersonal and organizational skills are essential
    • Works well in a team environment
    • Previous teaching experience at the post-secondary level, in business and business development is required.
    • Undergraduate degree in required, LLB or equivalent.
    • Masters or terminal degree is preferred.
    • Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered.
