The Vice President of Advisor Success primary responsibility will be to increase revenue from broker channel - business development and account management of group benefits insurance business from brokers and other partners who introduce new member clients to Beneplan. S / he is responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with internal and external stakeholders across the company. S / he also leads the broker sales initiative / team as the business grows and is expected to offer hands-on coaching and training on a daily basis, as applicable. Key deliverable in role is to increase revenue from broker channel.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Design and execute a national B2B advisor channel distribution strategy via new and existing relationships aimed at expanding annual revenue objectives. Leverage existing broker relationships to achieve the same.
  • Demonstrated ability to build, lead, and manage a broker channel revenue team, ensuring collaboration with other internal teams to meet company EBITDA and revenue targets.
  • Provide direction and mentorship to the broker channel revenue team, ensuring alignment with the company’s vision, mission, and culture. Facilitate team & advisors’ growth and evolving needs with a unique product and service model.
  • Analyze business metrics to define, forecast, and develop strategic initiatives, applying actuarial market analysis to guarantee competitive value across product lines.
  • Conduct face-to-face meetings, including presentations, broker engagements, and events to promote Beneplan’s offerings.
  • Ensure all potential leads are followed up on by the appropriate Beneplan team member.
  • Own broker-led deals through the sales cycle from introduction to membership agreement execution.
  • Manage benchmarking processes, create client and prospect reports to show results.
  • Support broker-related PR, marketing, and design initiatives as needed. Network with industry contacts to expand the contact base.
  • Stay current on broker business KPIs (monthly and quarterly revenue, new groups, terminations, growth initiatives) and report on performance and progress to senior leaders or shareholders as needed.
  • Be prepared to analyze and comment on business highs & lows, learnings, and strategies, providing data for internal guidance and stakeholder information.
  • Manage relationships with insurance companies and online quotation requests, balancing leverage and positive relations.

Minimum Skills and Requirements :

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant discipline, with at least 5 years of experience operating with an LLQP license.
  • Minimum of 5 years managing relationships with people and internal / external stakeholders, and leading teams.
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills, ability to work under pressure, and work well with all personalities. Extremely positive outlook and pleasant demeanor.
  • High moral standards, integrity, professionalism, strong work ethic, and polished relationship skills.
  • Proven ability to lead, motivate, and engage staff in a collaborative manner, preferably in small business or entrepreneurial environments.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, leadership, political acuity, sound judgment, tact, and discretion.
  • A desire for continuous learning, technical and social media savvy, and adaptability to new technologies.
  • G Driver’s license and excellent driving record.

Business Travel Requirements :

  • Some Canadian travel may be required based on business needs and seasonal factors.
  • Regular travel within the GTA and Ontario, approximately monthly within Ontario and quarterly outside the province.

Base Compensation : Approx. $150-$175,000 CAD annually + bonus, based on experience.
