Purpose:

Reporting to the Branch Manager, this position develops business relationships with customers and maintains high standards for Messer's customer service. A key focus is on business development for the region and for Messer as a whole.

This role involves customer deliveries and pickups, representing our organization positively by providing exceptional service.

What you’ll do:

Inside Sales Representative:

  • Assist customers in-store, prepare and track orders
  • Provide administrative and technical support to internal teams
  • Implement creative customer service techniques, source products, and maintain inventory levels
  • Communicate effectively with external customers to increase sales through upselling
  • Support the Branch Manager in achieving performance indicators, safety targets, and profitability
  • Enter invoices into SAP, prepare credit notes, organize documents, and draft correspondence
  • Solicit new sales both in-store and via outbound calls
  • Enhance counter sales and respond to telephone inquiries

Delivery Driver:

  • Deliver, load, and unload gaseous products to customer sites within the assigned area
  • Manage load updates and vehicle documentation accurately
  • Build and maintain good customer relations by listening and resolving requests
  • Ensure compliance with transportation regulations
  • Perform vehicle inspections and report hazards
  • Handle administrative duties using portable technology for deliveries and reconciliation

What it takes:

Education and Experience:

  • At least 1 year of inside sales or administrative experience, ideally in an industrial setting
  • Grade 12 education or equivalent
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Class 3 driver’s license
  • One year of driving experience with a clean record, or three years' experience with training
