POSITION OVERVIEW:

TriPoint Insurance Underwriting, a Navacord Partner, is a newly formed independent Canadian Insurance MGA founded in October 2016, which allows all brokers to access its specialized product offerings. The product offerings focus on developing niche products and innovative solutions for brokers and their clients. Our product segments include General Liability, Property, Wrap-up Liability, Course of Construction, Project Specific Indemnity, Contractors EIL, Contractors Equipment, Equipment Breakdown, and Commercial Legal Expense.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Support Underwriters and collaborate with London brokers as needed, serving as backup when necessary
• Send renewal requests to Underwriters 60 days in advance
• Follow up on upcoming renewals and policy subjectivities
• Issue new policies, extensions, endorsements, and cancellations
• Handle invoicing for policies, extensions, endorsements, and cancellations
• Coordinate with London for issuance of open market bound policies and extensions
• Attach correspondence for the Managing Partner
• Complete monthly bordereaux for various contracts
• Manually process failed Lineage transactions and company-issued policies in Lineage

REQUIREMENTS:

• Minimum 2 years of commercial insurance experience
• University degree
• R.I.B.O license
• Working towards C.I.P. or C.A.I.B. designation
• Excellent interpersonal skills and attention to detail
• Self-motivated with strong written and oral communication skills and organizational abilities
• Proficiency in Outlook, Excel, Word, and EPIC
