Shared Health leads the planning and coordinates the integration of patient-centered clinical and preventive health services across Manitoba. The organization also delivers some province-wide health services and supports centralized administrative and business functions for Manitoba health organizations.
Position OverviewReporting to the Manager, Linen Services, the incumbent is responsible for assembling ward carts on a daily basis and accounting for all linen delivered to and returned from the wards. Sews and mends a variety of uniforms and specialty linen items. Tracks uniform inventory and submits orders as needed. Receives linen and ensures order is correct. Takes telephone and written requests for uniforms, issues to Health Sciences Centre (HSC) employees, determines cost and prepares customer bill. Assesses HSC linen requirements and interacts with supplier WRHA Laundry Operations to obtain necessary linen. Assists with other assignments as required by the Manager, Linen Services.
