What you will do:

Reporting to the Branch Supervisor/Branch Coordinator, Library Services, you will play a vital role in supporting our mission to enhance the well-being of the individuals and communities we serve. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Assist with library programs and circulation duties
  • Shelving of books and Shelf reading
  • Provide frontline Customer Service
  • Satisfactory attendance record, subject to the requirements of the Ontario Human Rights Code
What you will bring:

We are looking for someone who shares our passion for helping people live their best lives and brings:

  • Be registered as a full-time student during the current academic year
  • Intends to register as a full-time student during the following academic year
  • Demonstrated ability to provide excellent public service and carry out duties as directed by the Library Programming and Outreach Coordinator and Library Services Supervisor/Coordinator
  • Strong organizational, prioritization, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to accurately file numerically and alphabetically
  • Familiar with Microsoft Office Suite and Symphony would be an asset
  • Provide a clear criminal record information check
  • Valid Class G2 driver’s licence with a satisfactory driver’s abstract and reliable transportation
