Role Overview

We seek an Instrumentation Engineer to join our Global Manufacturing Organization within the Technical Support team, supporting our downstream facilities. Your responsibilities will include designing, developing, installing, managing, and maintaining instrumentation systems, as well as providing technical support for high-priority issues.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Provide technical guidance, support, training, and expertise to plant departments.
  2. Assess system performance and recommend improvements.
  3. Develop and maintain lifecycle management activities for instrumentation systems.
  4. Establish auditing guidelines and perform regular instrument audits.
  5. Lead the development of new strategies and assess their feasibility.
  6. Document manufacturing knowledge and promote continuous improvement through benchmarking and best practices.
  7. Conduct awareness sessions and lead technical exchanges and conferences.
  8. Maintain the instrumentation systems knowledge repository.
  9. Act as a subject matter expert in instrumentation and assist troubleshooting activities.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 12 years’ experience in refining, oil and gas plants, or petrochemical industries.
  • Proficiency in industry codes and standards such as API, BS, ISO, ASME, ANSI, IEC, ISA, IEEE, etc.
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
  • Familiarity with field instrument types and applications.
  • Knowledge of oil and gas plant processes.
