Trouw Nutrition is hiring… Machine Operator works with machines and with computer systems to produce animal feed. We will provide you with hands-on training in order to learn various tasks and positions in the plant; cross training is key to keeping our talented team engaged and able to provide relief in all areas of our operations. Responsibilities:

• Complete all paperwork required for assigned tasks ensuring proper documentation for Food Safety and follow quality standards
• Ability to follow strict manufacturing practices and safety policies
• Load bulk trucks: Unload and receive the ingredients; Accurately and efficiently ship products ordered by customers
• Perform the tasks related to the preventive and sanitary maintenance of the plant and ensure that the quality control requirements of the ingredients are met at all times
• Operate the production line
• Endeavors to be productive at all times; Other duties as required.

Skills and Expertise

Qualifications:

• Experience working in a Feed Mill or manufacturing environment preferred
• Ability and availability to work rotational shifts and overtime as required
• Positive work attitude, strong work ethic, and attention to detail. Willingness to learn
• Ability to work with a team but also self-motivated to be able to work independently with minimal supervision

Expectation from the Role:

• Regular, Full time, Shift-work.
• Must be able to lift 25kg; and ability to regularly bend and twist.
• Occasional requirement to work at heights
• Must possess a valid class 5 license
• Have training and forklift driving experience (an asset).
