Industrial Millwright

Salary: $82,000.00 - $86,500.00 per year
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular preventive maintenance on both mechanical and electrical equipment to ensure minimum downtime and efficient performance.
- Troubleshoot and repair a variety of systems including hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical, enhancing system functionality and reliability.
- Meticulously adhere to safety policies and procedures to promote a safe work environment for all employees.
- Complete administrative duties associated with maintenance operations, including permits management, ordering parts, and completing work orders.
- Identify problems and recommend solutions that improve operational efficiency and reduce potential machine downtime.
Minimum Position Qualifications:
- Valid Ontario or Inter-Provincial 433A Millwright Certificate (Full License) is mandatory.
- Proven ability to perform physical job duties, including lifting at least 50 lbs, bending, stooping, kneeling, and climbing ladders.
- Excellent communication and comprehension skills in English.
- High school diploma or equivalent educational background.
- Basic proficiency with computer applications to manage maintenance records and input data effectively.
- Legal eligibility to work in Canada.
- Flexibility to work overtime, holidays, nights, and weekends with advanced notice.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in food manufacturing or packaging industry.
- Knowledge of CFIA requirements and basic food safety practices.
- At least 2 years of experience in production or related industrial work.
- Ability to work in various indoor and outdoor conditions with appropriate PPE, handling heat, cold, dust, and noise.
- Capability to work in elevated areas and to operate industrial machinery and equipment safely.

- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to identify and rectify mechanical and electrical discrepancies.
- Effective organizational and administrative skills for managing maintenance documentation and follow-up tasks.
- Physical strength and stamina for handling demanding job tasks.
