Network Solutions and Security Architect

This position is:

On-site - working all 5 days per week in the Office

As a member of the Network Solutions and Security Architecture group, the Architect develops solutions that meet business and operational connectivity and security requirements. This includes communicating requirements to infrastructure, network connectivity, and security teams. The role is highly technical, project-driven, and vital for ensuring the secure, stable deployment and operation of key systems.

The successful candidate will collaborate with various business groups (Carrier Networks, Security, Mobility, etc.), create design documentation, and develop detailed 'build tickets' for execution.

The ideal candidate is strategic, analytical, motivated, focused, and capable of integrating security into system design.

Responsibilities:

1. Extensive experience as a network administrator with Cisco, Juniper, or both (preferred).
2. Experience with network security, including firewall administration with Juniper, Palo Alto Networks (preferred).
3. Experience in network design and architecture at large scales.
4. Excellent time management skills.
5. Ability to collaborate across teams, define project scope, and determine requirements and dependencies.
6. Strong written and verbal communication skills.
7. Ability to produce solution options and evaluate approaches.
8. Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Visio, and SSH tools.
9. Advanced knowledge of Networking and Security concepts.
10. IP addressing, Layer 2 switching, Layer 2 Ethernet fabrics, Layer 3 routing, and security technologies.

1. MPLS (mBGP, LDP, SR, VRF)
2. VMware environment and NSX firewall
3. Windows and *nix OSs
4. Containers and automation tools (Ansible, Puppet, Chef, PowerShell, Orchestration)
