Job Description

AltaGas - Maintenance Planner

Reporting to the Maintenance Coordinator, this position is responsible for assisting with the organization and management of the CMMS (Maximo), supporting maintenance activities in the field, and developing and tracking maintenance KPIs for the business. This role supports all North Gas Facilities. The position is based in the Fort St. John, BC office, with frequent travel to facilities.

You will :

  1. Execute maintenance and reliability strategies for North Gas Division Operations.
  2. Assist in managing work order and maintenance tracking systems.
  3. Provide technical support to operations engineering and field operations for maintenance activities.
  4. Prioritize maintenance tasks to ensure cost-effective completion.
  5. Communicate and support work orders issued to field operations promptly.
  6. Utilize the Maximo system to its full capabilities.
  7. Implement preventive maintenance systems and track corrective maintenance.
  8. Create and manage a critical parts inventory to minimize downtime.
  9. Schedule and manage third-party maintenance service providers, tracking and controlling costs.
  10. Support procurement in purchasing maintenance parts.
  11. Plan turnaround activities for maintenance at facilities.
  12. Review and input maintenance records into Maximo.
  13. Build a bill of materials for parts related to preventive maintenance on facility equipment.
  14. Assist with ordering and purchasing parts for facility equipment.

You have :

  • 5+ years of maintenance and operation experience.
  • Experience with CMMS; Maximo preferred but not required.
  • Good interpersonal skills and ability to work independently or in a team.
  • Excellent computer skills.

Salary :

We offer a competitive salary range of $94,000 - $129,250 per year, based on experience, education, and skills. Additionally, we provide a comprehensive benefits package including health insurance, retirement plans, and paid time off.
