The Opportunity:

Postmedia Parcel Services is looking for flexible, hardworking individuals to join our growing team!

What you’ll do:

1. Prepare stations for inbound parcels: Set up of racks, bags, and cages, for sorting
2. Ensuring everything is properly labeled with correct Hub/Sort codes
3. Scan, sort, and place parcels within stations in the appropriate labeled bags/cages
4. Verify sort codes to match with proper bags/cages to eliminate "missorts"
5. Ensure proper use of provided equipment
6. Responsible for bringing missorts/package issues to Admins
7. Bag/Cage all sorted freight and stage the freight for carriers
8. Assist with loading and unloading trucks as required
9. Clean facility as required
10. Update respective Leads of any supplies needed, damages and any delays or issues encountered
11. Ensure all Health and Safety Guidelines are adhered to at all times
12. Ensure dock safety for yourself and fellow coworkers
13. Any other task or assignments deemed necessary by the organization

Requirements:

1. High School Diploma
2. Reliable transportation
3. Basic English language skills
4. Ability to work up to 12 hr shifts
5. Available through the week and weekends
6. Warehouse experience considered an asset
7. Good interpersonal, communication and organization skills
8. Ability to lift/push/pull up to 50lbs
