In support of upcoming projects, Bird Construction is reaching out to market to identify candidates interested in the Junior Scheduler position. Potential start date of March/April 2025.

What You Will Be Working On

  1. Assist in the development and maintenance of project schedules, ensuring accurate data entry and updates.
  2. Support the monitoring of project progress against baseline schedules and report on status.
  3. Help to identify key milestones, critical paths, and resource requirements under the guidance of senior planners.
  4. Assist in analyzing schedules to identify issues related to duration and logic.
  5. Prepare internal scheduling reports and documentation to support the planning team.
  6. Adopt company scheduling standards in the development and maintenance of schedules.
  7. Provide administrative support during project planning and tendering phases.

What We Are Looking For

  1. Basic understanding of planning and scheduling in the construction industry, with limited experience and knowledge depth.
  2. Minimum qualification in an Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
  3. Basic proficiency in planning and scheduling software (e.g., Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, Synchro).
  4. Intermediate capability in the use of Microsoft Excel, MS Office (MS Word, MS Powerpoint, MS Outlook).
  5. Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
  6. Good organizational and time management skills.
  7. Effective communication skills within a team environment.
  8. Some relevant experience, typically 0-3 years in a related field.

Preferred:

  1. Exposure to a contracting environment and an understanding of project phases.
  2. Familiarity with the industrial projects.
  3. Basic understanding of project management principles, including planning and scheduling.
