Role Description

Form Energy is hiring an Electrical Test Engineer to own and drive the functional and stress testing of our battery management electronics. This role reports to our System Engineering Team. You will contribute to/test stand development and automation, hardware-in-the-loop test setups, component stress testing, and system functional verification in collaboration with electrical and firmware teams. What you'll do:
  1. Take ownership of the development and specification of Hardware-In-The-Loop (HIL) test systems to achieve target performance and reliability.
  2. Design and implement standardized test specifications and processes to streamline electronics testing.
  3. Follow the Design Verification Plan and Report (DVP&R) for electrical components, ensuring compliance with engineering and quality standards.
  4. Oversee the setup and configuration of test benches for seamless component integration and validation.
  5. Contribute to validation reports, including failure analysis, and provide actionable recommendations.
What you'll bring:
  • 2+ years of relevant professional experience.
  • Experience with HIL, component testing, test stand development, and automation.
  • Strong systematic validation process and documentation skills.
  • Creative problem-solving abilities for cross-functional challenges.
