Sector: iA Special Markets; Working Environment: Hybrid Model, must work in the office at least twice a month; Location: Ontario or Quebec; Status: Permanent; Start Date: As soon as possible; Language: Bilingual in English and French, both written and spoken.

iA Special Markets and iA Group Saving & Retirement seek a skilled External Auditor to perform audit activities for Third Party Administrators (TPAs) and Third-Party Payers (TPPs) partnering with us for various business operations.

This role involves independently reviewing and verifying financial transactions and processes of our TPAs & TPPs, conducting audits of their internal controls, and ensuring compliance with our standards, contractual obligations, and industry regulations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct audits of TPAs & TPPs to ensure accuracy, integrity, and compliance with standards and regulations.
  • Establish an audit schedule in collaboration with the business line.
  • Verify financial transactions and processes to identify discrepancies.
  • Evaluate internal control systems and recommend improvements.
  • Prepare audit reports with findings and recommendations.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to address audit findings and implement corrective actions.
  • Coordinate with operational teams as needed.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and best practices related to TPA auditing.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field with relevant experience.
  • CPA or CIA certification preferred.
  • 3-5 years of external auditing experience, focusing on TPAs.
  • Strong knowledge of auditing standards and risk management.
  • Excellent analytical and attention to detail skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Willingness to explore innovative audit methods, including automation and AI.
  • Proficiency in both spoken and written French and English, with the ability to communicate with business partners and colleagues in both languages.
