Legal Assistant

Location: Kentville, NS

Work setting: On site, general law practice

Salary: $35,000 to $40,000 per year (to be negotiated), 35 hours/week

Terms of employment: Permanent, full-time, immediate start

Benefits include health (dental, health care, vision), financial (life insurance), and other (free parking)

Responsibilities
  • Coordinate the flow of information
  • Open and distribute incoming mail and electronic material
  • Schedule and confirm appointments
  • Maintain filing systems
  • Establish office procedures and routines
  • Prepare and input correspondence and legal documents
  • Perform administrative activities and basic bookkeeping
  • Process payments (credit cards, vouchers)
  • Perform front desk duties
Qualifications
  • No degree, certificate, or diploma required
  • Experience is an asset

    • Work must be completed onsite; remote work is not available
