JOB SUMMARY:
The Management Accountant is responsible for providing financial results, preparing budgets/forecasts, and financial analysis for all operational groups and entities as assigned. In addition, the position is required to provide strategic analysis, financial advice, and direction to the management team.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
Participate as a member of the management team in the development of strategies and plans for the operational groups
Prepare annual budget, quarterly forecast, and monthly management financial reports
Report financial performance, explain variances, and provide recommendations
Act as subject matter expert for the financial modules of the Enterprise Business System and provide functional support
Maintain current knowledge of accounting practices and policies and act as the liaison to train and support management and peers
Provide recommendations on system improvements to drive efficiencies and data integrity
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Professional accounting designation CPA
Minimum 3 years’ experience in financial planning and reporting
Strong computer skills; proficient in the use of office productivity and collaboration tools, preferably G Suite and Microsoft
Strong experience working with an Enterprise Resource Planning software (e.g. JD Edwards and Insights)
Experience in Salesforce considered an asset
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS
English language essential, both oral and written; Bilingual (French/English) considered an asset
This is a management group opportunity and salary will be commensurate with qualifications.
