Qualifications

  • Must be certified by ARRT or ARDMS for ultrasound technology.
  • Current CPR certification is required.

Job description

Hourly Pay Range:

$35.35 - $54.79 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.

Position Highlights:

  • SIGN-ON BONUS: $1,000
  • Position: Ultrasound Technologist II Per Diem

  • Location: 303 W Lake Street, Addison, IL

  • Floating Locations: Elmhurst Hospital, Elmhurst Center for Health, Hinsdale, Lombard, and Oak Park

  • Per Diem (As Needed)

  • Hours: 11am -7pm, 12pm-8pm, 2pm-10:30pm, rotating weekends (at least 2 weekend shifts per month)

  • Holidays - One 8 hour shift per year

What you will do:

Under general supervision, using ultrasound equipment produces two-dimensional ultrasound images of internal organs for use by Radiologists in the diagnosis of disease and the study of malfunction of organs. Delivers and ensures customer service in all aspects to job. Explains procedure to patient, giving opportunity for questions to reduce anxiety and promote trust.

What you will need:

Education: High School Diploma or GED. A minimum of an Associate's Degree or higher

Licenses/Certifications:

  • Certified or proof of eligibility for certification (i.e., letter of eligibility issued by accredited school) by ARRT (S)(American Registry of Radiologic Technologists, Sonography) or ARDMS (American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography)

  • Must be certified and currently registered as RDMS (OB or AB), RT(S), RT (VS), RVT, or RVS within twenty-four months of eligibility or 6 months of start date into position.

  • Current CPR certification issued by the American Heart Association

Preferred Experience: Vascular, Breast, Abdomen, OB/GYN, MSK, and Pediatric experience
