Job description

Responsibilities

  1. Effectively manage a territory and maximize business potential.
  2. Drive new customer business through networking, referrals, cold calling, and trade shows.
  3. Conduct sales presentations and product demonstrations to customers.
  4. Build a strong customer base by demonstrating products, services, and technical product solutions.
  5. Enter all Customer Opportunities into SalesForce and actively manage and maintain opportunity status.
  6. Submit weekly sales and progress reports.
  7. Work with internal departments and/or divisions to solve problems and develop solutions for customer accounts.
  8. Strategize with management to locate and maximize sales opportunities.
  9. Develop strategies and provide feedback to ensure we remain competitive in the market.
  10. Gather and share competitive information with appropriate internal departments.
  11. Execute sales strategy within existing territory to meet monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue goals.
  12. Assist with customer retention by being aware of competitive situations and following up with customers.
  13. Build relationships with customer decision makers and provide extraordinary customer service.
  14. Ensure sales targets and retention goals are met. Source and manage customers as needed.

Qualifications

  • Have a minimum of 5 to 10 years of demonstrated sales and customer service achievements preferably in the Ag Industry.
  • Agriculture Retail experience including Grain Handling industry combined with technical knowledge of Agriculture Software preferred.
  • Possess sales and business acumen, ideally coupled with an Ag Business, Economics, or related degree, or equivalent commensurate experience.
  • Have solid understanding of market segmentation, product line, and new product development.
  • Be well organized and pay close attention to detail.
  • Have superior customer relationship skills, including active listening and a proven history of managing customers.
  • Possess a valid driver’s license and can travel domestically and internationally.
  • Travel required 60-70% of the time within the region.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication.
  • Proficient with MS Office Applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams.
  • Experience working with a CRM system would be an asset.
