Product Line Manager (PLM) - C5ISR Modular Solutions

To support our continued market growth and industry leadership, we are looking for talented candidates to fill several new Product Line Manager (PLM) positions aligned with our C5ISR Modular Solutions business unit, which develops Curtiss-Wright’s most advanced embedded electronics.

Role Overview

As a Product Line Manager, you will be part of a Product Management team responsible for the overall success of the entire C5ISR product portfolio. You will be the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for specific product lines and application areas, such as mission processing, signal processing, HPEC processing architectures, CPU / FPGA / GPU and networking technologies, safe and secure COTS technologies, and emerging embedded edge AI processing systems.

You will help grow the business through participation in bids, proposals, and technical reviews. Responsibilities include overseeing the commercial success of embedded product lines from inception through market research, design, build, launch, growth, enhancement, and sunset.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Develop and implement strategies for existing and new products, including business cases with ROI models, pricing, and profit strategies.
  2. Drive data-driven forecasts for bookings, revenue, and design wins, ensuring competitive and differentiated value propositions.
  3. Collaborate with Engineering, CTOs, and marketing teams to define solutions for emerging market needs, including feature sets and technical specifications.
  4. Provide Engineering with well-defined feature, cost, and product-level requirements and support during development.
  5. Oversee product development lifecycles to ensure timely market entry, cost targets, and ROI.
  6. Manage ongoing product health through sales forecasts, margin monitoring, and market-driven enhancements.
  7. Build customer relationships and negotiate deals to support product line growth.
  8. Support new product introductions, create promotional content, white papers, and media articles.
  9. Drive third-party collaborative development and support marketing, sales, and business capture activities.
Qualifications
  • Senior PLM with experience in safe and secure embedded processing solutions.
  • Technical PLM with experience in embedded hardware and software architectures, familiar with defense standards such as SOSA, VITA, and VPX systems.
  • Relevant hardware/software engineering degree or equivalent experience.
  • At least 7 years of relevant experience in Product or Engineering Management or technical Product Marketing.
  • Understanding of product, market, and marketing strategy development.
  • Knowledge of embedded processing technologies, industry standards, and software applications.
  • Strong business acumen, analytical skills, and proficiency with Microsoft Office.
  • Willingness to travel frequently for customer support, industry events, and business development.
