Job description

Type: Full-Time

Pay Rate: $22 per hour + $1.30 per heavy premium

Shift: 9:00 am to 5:30 pm

Location: 2450 Stanfield Road, Unit C, Mississauga ON, L4Y 1S2

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Safe and efficient movement of Product (including loading and unloading trucks).
  2. Accurately pick and pack items for shipment potentially with a forklift.
  3. Label and prepare items for shipment.
  4. Work with Inventory Control on correct product placement.
  5. Perform daily safety checklist and standard battery charging procedure.
  6. Assist in cycle counting and periodic inventories.
  7. Assist team members in meeting and exceeding customer expectations.
  8. Update supervisor and team lead on issues or concerns.
  9. Participate in process improvement by communicating to supervisor and/or team lead.
  10. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
  11. Support and maintain corporate quality, health and safety standards, processes, policies, practices, and work instructions.
  12. All other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
  1. Previous warehouse/manufacturing experience required.
  2. Forklift experience preferred.
  3. Current forklift certification.
  4. Basic math and reading skills.
  5. Must be able to read and understand written and verbal instructions.
  6. Ability to pay attention to detail to ensure accuracy.
  7. Ability to work in a team environment.
  8. Ability to lift/move up to 40 pounds solo and greater weights in a team-lift environment.
  9. Physical requirements include: lifting, carrying, bending, stretching, and standing for long periods of time, ability to handle heights.
