Title: Manager

Our client is one of Canada’s leading professional services firms who provide audit, tax, consulting, and financial advisory services to Canadian and international companies through their world-class team of accounting professionals.

As a Manager in the Commodity Tax group, you will be:

  • Providing recovery/advisory audit work for clients, including analysis of client data and onsite audit work.
  • Assuming the lead audit role on client engagements.
  • Coordinating and attending high-level management meetings with client tax personnel and/or government auditors.
  • Overseeing junior staff assigned to projects.
  • Providing written and oral presentations to clients.
  • Preparing all forms of refund claims and submissions for tax recoveries to clients or government bodies.

Successful candidates will possess the following qualifications:

  • C.A., C.M.A., or C.G.A designation.
  • Minimum of 3 years experience in indirect tax with an audit background (in the area of GST/HST, ORST or other provincial sales commodity tax).
  • A high level of interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate with senior-level decision makers.
  • Entrepreneurial in nature with a high motivational level (goal-oriented) to be able to generate revenues through tax recoveries in a commissioned salary environment.
  • The ability to work independently as well as within a team.
