Job description

XEDITON is currently seeking energetic, self-motivated professionals with strong account management and communication skills for the role of Key Account Managers (KAMs) in various provinces.

The KAM positions focus on launching and establishing demand and access for novel hospital antibiotic products within an assigned territory. Responsibilities include educating formulary decision makers, stakeholders, and physicians on clinical benefits, and gaining formulary adoption in the institutional IV antibiotic space. The team will handle formulary access and sales across Canada.

The ideal KAM should have a solid understanding of hospital product administration and formulary inclusion processes. The ability to communicate complex clinical data effectively to infectious disease physicians and specialists is crucial. KAMs must also understand the formulary process and possess strong analytical skills.

KAMs will engage with healthcare professionals in targeted institutions, plan and execute territory strategies, and foster institutional awareness and access to Xediton’s anti-infective portfolio. Navigating hospital systems to influence decision makers is essential.

Responsibilities include:

  1. Building clinical demand within the ID physician community.
  2. Promoting products by navigating the formulary approval process and educating on their appropriate use.
  3. Calling on physicians and stakeholders through meetings, presentations, and education programs.
  4. Maintaining high call and productivity levels, meeting CRM expectations.
  5. Analyzing territory data to develop and execute account plans.
  6. Establishing product access through engagement with key hospital personnel.
  7. Building and maintaining professional relationships across multiple levels.
  8. Understanding hospital practices related to formulary management.
  9. Achieving formulary adoption goals ethically and within regulations.
  10. Assisting in sales planning, strategy, coverage, and forecasting.
  11. Reporting activities, expenses, and submitting reports as required.
  12. Creating educational opportunities with thought leaders and societies.
  13. Executing brand strategies for consistent messaging.
  14. Adapting selling approaches to customer profiles.
  15. Attending meetings and managing promotional materials responsibly.
  16. Performing all business ethically and professionally.

Skills & Qualifications:

The candidate should be a motivated, enthusiastic team player with adaptability and resourcefulness.

  • University Degree in Science.
  • At least 3 years of successful sales experience in a hospital setting; anti-infective experience preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of hospital product administration and formulary processes.
  • Ability to navigate hospital systems and engage decision makers.
  • Experience building relationships and facilitating educational programs.
  • Experience launching hospital antibiotics and gaining formulary approval is advantageous.
  • Energetic, detail-oriented, and capable of working independently and collaboratively.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office; social media experience is a plus.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Creative selling skills with an entrepreneurial spirit.
  • Ability to communicate scientific data effectively.
  • High energy, results-driven, with strong influencing skills.
  • Valid driver’s license and professional appearance.
