Description :

The Department of Medicine and the Division of General Internal Medicine and Geriatrics at Sinai Health System and the University Health Network, in collaboration with the Department of Medicine and the Division of Geriatric Medicine at the University of Toronto, are seeking to recruit up to two qualified full-time academic geriatricians. These positions are for a Clinician in Quality & Innovation and a Clinician Teacher. Successful candidates will be hired through either Sinai Health System or the University Health Network, both part of the Toronto Academic Health Sciences Network. Candidates must be eligible for a Full-Time Clinical Academic Appointment at the rank of Lecturer or Assistant Professor at the University of Toronto, with an effective start date of September 2025 or a mutually agreed date.

Responsibilities :
  1. Provide exemplary patient-centered care.
  2. Participate in undergraduate and postgraduate teaching programs of the University of Toronto.
  3. For Clinician Teacher candidates: demonstrate excellence through scholarly contributions to teaching, awards, pedagogical innovation, and curriculum development.
  4. For Clinician in Quality & Innovation candidates: demonstrate excellence through advanced training in quality improvement, successful initiatives, practice or equipment innovations, and invitations to conferences.
Qualifications :
  1. Hold an MD degree and be eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario in Geriatric Medicine.
  2. Have or be eligible for specialist geriatric medicine certification from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada.
Remuneration :

Estimated range of $300,000-$350,000 per annum, including fees for service, commensurate with rank, qualifications, and experience.
