Primary Responsibilities

The Territory Manager position is primarily responsible for product sales to a set of customers in a specific region. This role will be responsible for the 'Sea to Sky' region - North Vancouver to Pemberton. The Territory Manager sells product by suggesting new items, line extensions and new placements, presenting promotional opportunities and displays to store management, suggesting items for cross merchandising, and identifying and pursuing opportunities to increase sales of current and new items. The position also has responsibility for receiving product and/or stocking shelves. Essential Functions

• Support and participate in food safety programs including SQF (Safe Quality Food).
• Conduct and maintain call cycle compliance based on Customer needs.
• Recommend, sell, upsell all Brands through education and using fact-based information appropriate for each individual account.
• Complete orders as well as merchandise, assessing shelf expiration with a solution and present all banners new listings and close gaps accordingly to own your business.
• Present and sell new Brands to Independent accounts.
• Present monthly promotions to all major banners and independent accounts to achieve increased distribution and Brand exposure.
• Using independent judgment and sales techniques to recognize and increase sales.
• Present and sell items for seasonal holidays for both major banners and independent accounts.
• Participate in resets and/or promotional/marketing planning for assigned customers. This may include POG sets and our demos.
• Source new opportunities in terms of new business.
• Prepare and process all paperwork and reports including, but not limited to, weekly call cycle wins/obstacles/best practices to share with the team.
• Resolve store issues by working with store management and enlisting appropriate company support both internally and externally.
• Understand and react accordingly when a “sense of urgency” arises. Be action-oriented with positive results in mind.

• Attend and participate in Trade Shows as requested.
• Must maintain good attendance, maintain safe work practices, and maintain safeguards of confidential company information.

Minimum Requirements, Qualifications, Additional Skills, Aptitude

• Minimum of two (2) years sales/marketing experience in the food sector or consumer packaged products preferred.
• Must have High School Diploma. Proficiency in MS Office required.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sales or Marketing preferred.
• Must have current and valid driver’s license and proof of insurance and be able to travel.
• Technical skills (computer literacy).
• Should have the ability to prioritize multiple tasks with a high energy level, comfortable performing multi-faceted tasks in conjunction with day-to-day activities.
• Should have strong organization and time management skills with the ability to work independently without direct on-site supervision.
• Sales oriented with strong communication skills (oral and written) and fluent in English with above-average presentation skills.
• CPG experience is preferred.
