As a Jazz Ramp Attendant, you will be part of a team ensuring the safe and timely arrival and departure of aircraft. Your responsibilities include: preparing ground equipment for aircraft arrivals, marshaling aircraft in and out of parking spots, loading and unloading baggage and cargo, and communicating with pilots and team members. You will work with a diverse team and are expected to treat all colleagues and customers with care and respect. This safety-critical role requires adherence to operating procedures while working around aircraft. Jazz is the express carrier for Air Canada, but may also support other airline operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Reporting to the Manager, Customer Service, your duties will include:

  • Performing duties safely and in accordance with policies and procedures.
  • Assisting passengers with disabilities.
  • Cleaning and grooming aircraft between flights.
  • Operating ground support equipment and vehicles.
  • Securing aircraft with wheel chocks and weather gear.
  • Completing electronic and paper forms related to equipment maintenance and safety.
  • Continuously developing ramp skills and responsibilities.
  • Covering shifts as needed and assisting coworkers.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Bondable with a valid driver’s license.
  • Ability to operate ground vehicles and equipment.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to work independently.
  • Previous ramp experience is preferred.
  • Bilingual in English and French is an asset; in some stations, it's a requirement. Please indicate your bilingual status in your application.
