Nature of the work
The principal and customary work of an employee in this class of employment consists in performing various technical tasks related to the management of human, development and implementation of standards and activities related to administrative operations. As part of his or her duties, the employee may assist professionals and senior staff.
Description of tasks
The employee may be required to:
- Participate in the recruitment and movement of personnel
- Verify or determine, in accordance with standards, the level of academic and professional qualifications of candidates
- Ensure the authenticity of documents produced
- Verify work history and follow-up on candidate background checks
- Organize exam sessions, administer tests and other required examinations
- Welcome new staff and inform them of general working conditions, in particular by organizing and running orientation sessions.
- Participate in the drafting of job descriptions
- Provide information to staff regarding any questions they may have concerning collective agreements or other regulations
Other Tasks
- Develop and adapt work methods and procedures, and oversee their application in day-to-day operations with regards to recruitment and movement of personnel
- Apply or adapt management techniques to specific administrative activities and day-to-day operations
- Produce and transmit reports to the organizations concerned
- Open employee files in the pay system
- Oversee staffing updates in the pay system
- May be called upon to train less-experienced technicians and coordinate the work of support staff in carrying out technical operations programs.
- Perform other related tasks as required
Desired profile
Schooling
Meet one of the following profiles:
- Hold a diploma of college studies in Techniques de l'administration générale (Business Administration) or in another appropriate technical program
- Hold a diploma or an attestation of studies recognized as equivalent by the competent authority
Experience And Other Requirements
- Bilingual, French and English (oral and written)
- Knowledge of GRICS, particularly the Paie et GRH system and the Postes module
- Experience with the Atlas recruitment platform
- Proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite, particularly with Excel, Word, SharePoint, and Teams as well as the Google environment
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Minimum of one (1) year of experience in human resources, particularly with staffing and internal movements
