About Our Opportunity

This position, based in the Western Region, reports to the Chief Crown Attorney, Western Region. Key responsibilities include prosecuting charges from law enforcement investigations, advising law enforcement as requested, and performing duties as directed.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Practicing member of the Nova Scotia Barristers' Society (or eligible to become one).
  • Thorough understanding of prosecution process, criminal procedures, evidence, and criminal law.
  • At least one (1) year of significant criminal litigation experience.
  • Willingness to travel across the province as required.
  • Provision of a current Certificate of Standing from the law society may be required.

Assessment tools may include written exams, interviews, and reference checks.

Pay Grade : CA - CA

Salary Range : $3,639.93 - $7,697.97 Bi-Weekly
