Job description

Earth Haven Farm is located just outside of Tweed, Ontario in Hastings County, offering a secluded setting for a sustainable, whole farm operation. The farm features extensive woodlots, conservation land, and pastures, with minimal contamination from surrounding commercial agriculture. Earth Haven Farm has maintained its Demeter Certification since 2008, making it one of the few farms in Canada with this designation.

Farm Philosophy and Practices

As a Demeter certified farm, our main goal is to maintain healthy, productive soil to grow nutritious vegetables, fruits, herbs, and food for our livestock, ourselves, and our customers. We follow principles similar to those of traditional farmers before large-scale chemical farming, with absolutely no chemicals, herbicides, or pesticides used on our farm.

Job Description

We are seeking a farm manager to oversee a 200ft greenhouse and a 1-acre garden. The role includes managing planning, planting, harvesting, record keeping, and coordinating volunteers. Accommodation is available on-site. The position requires hands-on manual labor, as we are a biodynamic farm committed to sustainable practices. We hope to build a lasting relationship with the right candidate, who also has sales skills or a motivation to market produce.

Additional Information

Our farm spans 200 acres with rich soil. We are looking for someone passionate about sustainable farming and community engagement.
